Integration guide

Connect Zoom to Rollset

Authorize your own Zoom account for a specific Rollset client account, then let its calendars create and maintain meeting links automatically.

Before you connect

  • You need a Rollset user with permission to update settings.
  • Select the agency client account where the Zoom connection should be used.
  • Create at least one Rollset calendar in that client account.
  • Use the Zoom login that should host meetings created for that client account.
  • If your Rollset role requires two-factor authentication, enable it first.

Connect your account

  1. Sign in to Rollset and select the correct agency and client account.
  2. Open Account → Connections and locate the Zoom card.
  3. Select Connect Zoom.
  4. Sign in to the Zoom account you want to use and approve the requested access.
  5. After Zoom returns you to Rollset, confirm that the Zoom card shows the connected account email.
  6. In the client account's calendar settings, choose Zoom for the meeting-link type where you want Rollset to generate links.

Agency and client-account behavior

A Zoom authorization belongs to the Rollset user and client account from which it was created. It is not automatically shared with another agency or client account. If the same Zoom host should be used for more than one client account, switch to each client account and authorize it there. This keeps one client's meeting access from bleeding into another client's workspace.

Permissions Rollset requests

Zoom permissionHow Rollset uses it
user:read:userDisplay and identify the Zoom account that you connected.
meeting:write:meetingCreate a Zoom meeting when a Rollset appointment requires one.
meeting:update:meetingKeep the Zoom meeting aligned when an appointment is rescheduled.
meeting:delete:meetingRemove the linked Zoom meeting when the appointment is canceled.

Rollset does not request Zoom recording, transcript, in-meeting chat, webinar, or contact permissions for this integration.

Disconnect or revoke access

  1. Open Account → Connections in the affected client account.
  2. On the Zoom card, select Disconnect.

Disconnecting deletes Rollset's stored Zoom credential for that client-account connection and stops future meeting actions. You can also remove Rollset from the Zoom App Marketplace's installed-app management page. Existing meetings already created in Zoom are not automatically deleted merely because you disconnect the app.

Troubleshooting

Rollset says to create a calendar first

Add a calendar inside the selected client account, then return to Account → Connections and connect Zoom again. Rollset attaches the authorization to a calendar-owned client account so the OAuth return cannot be applied to the wrong tenant.

The wrong Zoom account was connected

Disconnect it in Rollset, sign out of Zoom or switch Zoom profiles, and run Connect Zoom again from the correct Rollset client account.

The connection needs attention

The Zoom refresh grant may have expired or been revoked. Disconnect and reconnect the same Zoom account, then retry the meeting action.

Still stuck?

Email nick@rollset.app with the client-account name and the error message. Do not include passwords, OAuth codes, or tokens. You can also review our Privacy Policy.
